Shower House

We're clean! One of the benefits of being in a larger city is that we have access to a few more amenities than our friends in the countryside. One such luxury is a decent shower house. We have just such a shower house about a 10 minute walk from our house. For 1,300 tugriks (about 1 USD) you get 30 minutes of hot water in a private stall with a locking door. That's right, we're big city kids here in Olgii.

Just so we don't feel that we are abusing our privileges, we have officially designated Saturday and Wednesday afternoons as our shower days. We have gone twice so far. Now here I am on a Saturday morning quivering with anticipation for my shower later today.

Ah, Ashlee and I were just joking last night about the good ol' days when showered everyday. It was like paradise...

PS - Between shower days, we also have the option of boiling water and bathing right here in the privacy of our own house using a "tumpun." See the picture below.
