That's right at 4pm on December 31st I was guiding a large Soviet-era truck right to my front door and watching as a team of three men carefully measured out two tons of coal and not so carefully dumped it on the ground. Here's some pictures if you're interested.
Right, so after the delivery men left, I faced the daunting task of moving all this piece-by-piece inside to our coal room. My counterpart, Bahtgul, tried to round up some of her 11th grade students to help me, but they were all too busy ringing in the New Year. Ashlee was also busy making us a delicious holiday feast, so I tried to tackle it on my own. Our hashaa father, Nurlan, saw me feebly trying to move some of the larger pieces and he graciously offered to help. We had the job done in an hour.
Happy New Year!
