Just Passing the Time (Scott)

As I'm sure I have mentioned before, one of the biggest difficulties we face here in the Peace Corps is just passing the time. You'd be surprised at how ingenious you become when you run out of DVDs to watch and books to read. Our current favorite activity is staring out our window at the cows and sheep that our hashaa family has penned up in what used to be a garden. They are fattening them up for the next few weeks before slaughtering them in December. Until then, we are treated to their "moos" and "baaas" at all hours of the day. Also the cows, which we have named Cow 1 and Cow 2 so that we don't get attached to them, like to put their wet snouts against the window and slime it up.
