It started promptly at 7am with the opening of care packages (thanks, parents!) and continued with a small breakfast of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches while watching "A Charlie Brown Christmas." After a couple of Skype chats with family back home, we headed off to Brian's for brunch.
Following Morris family tradition, Brian had eggs benedict all prepared for us, albeit with a few Mongolian substitutions -- bacon from UB instead of Canadian bacon and toasted bread in lieu of English muffins. Nonetheless, it was still delicious -- especially when it was paired with Ashlee's homemade cinnamon rolls and rounded off with a glass (or ceramic bowl) of sparkling wine.
After brunch and a little sugar cookie decorating session, we proceeded with our little game of Secret Santa. The five of us pulled names out of a hat back at Thanksgiving. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. After the game, we all took a midday break before the festivities resume at our place tonight with Christmas dinner.

Merry Christmas from us and our new pajamas. Thanks, Mom and Dad!

Ashlee's cinnamon rolls. She is honing her "mommy skills."

Eggs benedict a la Brian.

The food was "Scott approved."

Awesome cinnamon rolls.

Our decorated sugar cookies. Can you guess which one mine is?

Ashlee got Brian. He said that she "hit the nail on the head" with his presents. Everything he loves in life: broads, booze, and food.

I drew Ashlee's name for Secret Santa. I got her a few Christmas decorations from her favorite UB wool shop.

Justin turned a broken star cookie into a cat face. Creative, huh?

Ashlee got Justin a bottle of booze.

Justin got me a felt chess set. Now I just need to learn how to play.

Believe it or not, but the cat didn't really find this funny.

I'm jealous, those cinnamon rolls look melt in your mouth delicious! The poor kitty - that's another story...must be the guys terrorizing the cat. Love Gma
