An Olgii Christmas (Part 2)
It was superb. We had the Olgii PCV crew over to our place for Christmas dinner. The wine was a-flowing, the food was choice, and the company was excellent. Except for a couple of awkward party crashers towards the end of the night, the whole thing was a success -- apparently one of my teachers and her sister thought it would be fun to celebrate "America's New Year" with real Americans. I guess it would have been okay if they had called ahead of time -- or better yet, received an invite -- or if they hadn't of both been three-sheets-to-the-wind, but, hey, that's just me. Long story short, around 9:30pm we made as if the party was over and sent everyone on their way. Five minutes later we called back our invited guests and continued the party, sans the awkward drunkos who kept slapping Adi on the toosh and calling her a "good woman." Aw, just like the Christmas days of yore!

The boys and I digging into the "yard o' beef" and cheese lovingly sent by the Riggins. It was delicious!
Brian says that every year he and his siblings take a picture with Santa. This is the best we could do for him in Olgii.
Brian's birthday is on the 28th, so we gave him an early b-day present. He's really an old man now: whiskey, cigars, and a pair of plaid pajama pants.
We forgot to take a "before" picture. Ashlee outdid herself again: chicken stuffing, mac 'n cheese, mulled cider, greenbean casserole, biscuits, and gravy. Justin was in charge of the creamed corn. In a bold move, he opted to innovate the recipe Ashlee gave him -- he added bbq sauce, cayenne pepper, chili flakes, chicken bouillon, and tabasco. Oh, Justin.
